Integrity first. Straight talking always. I work directly with owners and leadership teams, close to delivery until results land.

The background, experience, and thinking behind Nishology.
From as early as I can remember, business has been in my blood. I've always been drawn to how organisations really work - the people, the systems, the value chains, the commercial mechanics, and the human behaviours underneath it all. I never wanted to observe from the sidelines. I wanted to build, fix, and scale businesses.
My approach has been shaped over more than 25 years operating across manufacturing, software, FMCG, foodservice, vending, packaging, IT-managed services, sustainability, ESG, and private-equity-backed environments. Along the way, I've worked with and supplied organisations including JDE Peet's, Nestlé, Lavazza, Microsoft, WHSmith, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, BMW, Shell, Boots, PepsiCo, and Bain & Company. That exposure gave me a deep, practical understanding of how performance is created — and quietly undermined — inside real businesses.
Nishology formally began in the UK in 2017 as the operating vehicle through which I invested in, acquired, built, and advised businesses. Through it, I led the acquisition and scale-up of Aeguana (now BoostInc), built Alchemy Enterprise Group, launched CUPkind from concept through manufacturing and distribution, and supported founders, owners, and leadership teams through advisory and Non-Executive Director roles, including CYD Connects. This was not theory. It was a proving ground.
What shaped my work most was not just growth, but pressure. Leadership under scrutiny. Founder disagreements. Cultural misalignment. Situations where the commercially right decision conflicted with the human one. These experiences reinforced a core belief that sits at the heart of Nishology: business is commercial, but it is also deeply human.
I am neurodivergent - something I came to understand more clearly later in life - and it has become a strategic advantage rather than a limitation. It explains my speed of pattern recognition, my ability to cut through complexity, and my instinct for seeing commercial pathways others miss. It has also strengthened my emotional intuition: an ability to read people, understand dynamics, and recognise what a business truly needs beneath the surface narrative.
Across my career I have built multi-million revenue businesses, stabilised underperforming operations, scaled companies into new markets, strengthened commercial and financial discipline, modernised organisations through digital and AI-enabled change, and supported owners and executives through growth, transactions, and transition.
That experience spans the full business journey - from early-stage ventures finding their footing, through growth and scale, to complex, multi-layered organisations operating at corporate and investor-backed level. I've worked inside businesses at different stages, sizes, and ownership structures, which is why Nishology adapts to the reality of where a business actually is - not where a framework says it should be.
Nishology is not a generic consultancy. It is a founder-led, operator-built firm designed to work closely with owners, executives, boards, and investors. Every engagement is led by me directly, supported where needed by a trusted network of senior specialists and operators across commercial, operational, digital, and transaction disciplines. This model allows Nishology to stay senior, personal, and outcome-led, rather than scaled through layers of delivery.
What drives me most is working with like-minded people and businesses who want to grow, build, and achieve in a way that benefits all stakeholders - not just a small elite. Throughout my career, I've taken particular satisfaction from developing people, strengthening leaders, and helping teams grow into their potential alongside the business itself.
What matters to me is simple. I want owners and leaders to feel properly supported when the decisions are heavy. I will tell you the truth, clearly and respectfully, and help you turn it into action. The aim is a business that performs, and a team that grows with it, achieving more than they thought possible.
25+ years of operating experience across a broad range of sectors, markets, and ownership models.

Quick read of what matters, clear priorities, and disciplined follow-through until results hold.
Complex situations distilled into clear, actionable priorities the business can actually move on.
Every action has an owner. Commitments are tracked and follow-through is expected, not assumed.
Not advisory from a distance. Close to the work, inside the business, until progress holds.
Structure, performance, growth. Progress that is visible in execution and in the numbers.
The standards and beliefs that guide how I operate, lead, and deliver results.
Cutting through noise so leaders can see reality, make the call, and move.
Sound decisions under pressure. Balancing facts, people, timing, and consequences.
Straight talking, delivered with respect. Trust comes from telling the truth and following through.
High standards, held with empathy. People and dynamics matter, especially under pressure.
Do it properly. Set the bar, keep it consistent, and raise performance without ego.
I stay close, support the people doing the work, and keep going until progress holds.
Shaped by real operating experience and reinforced by two practical frameworks.
My leadership style is shaped by real operating experience and reinforced by two practical frameworks: DISC behavioural style and Gallup CliftonStrengths. They do not define me. They explain how I operate under pressure: decisions, standards, execution, and leadership.
How I Show Up
DISC is a behavioural model that describes how you tend to communicate, make decisions, and respond under pressure. My DISC profile reflects a direct, results-focused, and structured style.
My DISC profile reflects a direct, results-focused, and structured style.
In practice, that means:
It combines pace with structure. Directness with discipline.
My CliftonStrengths themes are led by the Executing domain: Achiever, Discipline, Arranger, Consistency, and Restorative, supported by Significance, Intellection, Connectedness, Activator, and Belief.
In practice, that combination means:
It is a blend of drive, structure, judgement, and follow-through.
This is how I lead. It is how Nishology operates.
